AC Shooting School is a family run business with 3 Generations actively working for our company. We have been involved in Clay and Game shooting for over 50 Years and have an extensive knowledge of the industry.
We are a founder member of the Guild of Shooting Instructors and a Fellow of the APSI so at AC Shooting School we offer professional shooting instruction for everyone. Our instructors are all qualified and have vast experience in Clay and Game shooting, which means at our shooting ground you will receive the best tuition possible.
We have been based in and around Blandford for 40 years now and have been at our current shooting ground for over 5 years. The ground benefits from being located between 2 villages providing spectacular views over the surrounding landscape while being within easy access of the main road network.
At our ground we can offer clay pigeon shooting instruction for:

Safety – A gun is a dangerous weapon. It needs to be respected and handled with care and gun safety is paramount at all times. You’ll learn how to handle the gun correctly and safely, both while shooting and when not shooting. By following a few simple rules you’ll be able to enjoy the session, ensuring that you and those around you will be safe.
Gun Mount – You’ll learn to handle the gun, to mount it (put into the shoulder) efficiently and consistently. It’s also important to know how to load and empty the gun, and how to be safe between shots.
Aim – It’s key to know the best stance, and direction for the successful shot. This may require movement between shots to realign to the new target. Whilst finally you'll learn to read the target and where to focus the gun to hit the clay. Every clay target requires a different aiming picture.
